The Suaku Singaporean Reports: #7
Today was one of the best days yet! 
The day started out with dimsum with my college roommate, and then we headed off to pick up the rest of the posse to go outlet shopping. We went to the Desert Hills Premium Outlets in Cabazon, which is just about 20 minutes away from Palm Springs so it was a LONG drive. The selection at the outlet was extensive with over 200 stores.
But the funniest thing was, along the way we started talking about Taco Bell. I have this thing about Taco Bell; I love the chalupa. (If you live in the US of A and you haven't tasted a chalupa, you're missing out man!) So we decided that we'd all get a chalupa but somehow along the way there just wasn't a Taco Bell in sight. So we decided to go shopping first but then at around 2pm we got hungry so we hopped back into the car and headed back towards LA to search for the elusive Taco Bell.
In the end, we had to call someone in LA and make the poor guy search for Taco Bell locations near to where we were, and we found out that there was actually supposed to be one on that very street we were on. We drove up and down Ramsey twice before finally spotting a vacant storefront that USED to be a Taco Bell. That whole detour took up like 30 minutes of precious shopping time and we ended up not eating anything and heading straight back to shop.
After shopping for another couple of hours we headed back towards LA and finally saw a Taco Bell about 30 minutes into the drive. I'm so happy I got to eat my chalupa at last; it's so good I'm going to try and have it for breakfast tomorrow!
After that we headed over to have dinner with my college roommate's parents. Needless to say we were pretty full but there was a TON of food on the table. 8 dishes for 6 people. Wah...
Sadly, tomorrow is my last day in the US of A for a while. The plan is to drive around Pasadena, find the last few presents on my list and chill out a bit. This whole vacation has been so much fun. I can't even begin to contemplate the horror of actually having to work on Monday.
