Day 5: Scrabby Looks Forward To Going Home
One more day
and it'll be home sweet home for me. I (almost) can't wait but tonight I'm going to take some time off and have a nice relaxing (and hopefully gossipy) dinner with some of my colleagues here in HK.
So yesterday was a fairly hellish day. We started off with an 0830 meeting and got there late because traffic in Shanghai was just horrible and even though the two hotels were 10 minutes apart it took us almost 40 minutes to get there. Then we had to rush to Hongqiao Airport to catch an internal flight to Beijing and thanks to the 40 minutes we spent sitting on the runway we were late getting into Beijing. We were supposed to have a 1430 meeting and the flight only landed at 1430. We had to cancel one meeting and then we had to scurry back to the airport to catch our flight to Hong Kong. The only saving grace was that we managed to get an earlier flight so we didn't end up getting into HK at 1am.
Which explains why I'm all zonked out now. But, the fact that I'm done with the meetings is enough to keep me going. That, and the fact that we'll have a nice dinner tonight and probably some karaoke as well.
