Transit, Aussie Style

So, here I am in Sydney, waiting for my flight back to Singapore. (I'm hoping that this time around my luggage makes the flight... fingers crossed.)

The wedding's over, though there'll be a dinner in SG in 2 weeks' time. Speaking of which, since when was "timekeeper" synonymous with "wedding coordinator"? I thought my job for the SG wedding was just to tell people the time, but now it turns out that I'm supposed to morph into Crazy Bitch again and actually coordinate the entire thing. And here I was, thinking I'd done my job by showing up, wearing a yellow cheongsam and freezing my ass off, walking down the aisle with a long-haired Kiwi groomsman, and holding packets of tissue paper in case the bride started to tear.

And, I have to give a speech! Argh. It's so difficult to give a speech about someone who has always been a paragon of virtue and has no deep dark (read: funny) secrets to reveal to the world. The bride's brother did give me a gem of a quote so I'll have to incorporate it in somehow. Any ideas/stories are most welcome!

Photos from the wedding should start trickling in soon, once I get my act together. I just realised I was supposed to put up photos of my risotto and porkchop/pasta from last year. How characteristically efficient! (And somehow I'm being tasked to coordinate a wedding...)

Okie dokie. The monitor here is giving me a headache. Time to go enjoy a coffee and relax before the flight. Later 'dudes.

Oh and one more thing: PJ comes back tonight! YAY!

pblossom: Yes it does. I'm slightly under the weather, though an early night yesterday helped. Next trip is in 3 weeks' time :(
