La-La Land
So, 
here I am in cold and overcast LA. Yup. Cold and overcast.
Today, we spent a whole day at Magic Mountain. In case you didn't know, Magic Mountain is an amusement park about 45 minutes north of LA. My friend scored us a 1-for-1 deal so it was great value, and since it's still early in the season it was crowded enough to have a lively atmosphere but not crowded enough to make the lines superlong. We did 5 rides and had lunch as well, and whiled away 7 hours just chatting and screaming and laughing and generally having a great time.
Then we came back for a home-cooked dinner. Yums. Thanks to C&J for a great day out, and to C for letting me crash at her place. Right now I'm stealing internet access from someone in the neighbourhood, so it's all good.
The only thing is, there seem to be a huge flock of rabid parrots in this neighbourhood. Last night they started squawking at 1am for almost an hour, and when I finally got to sleep I was woken up sometime around 4 am by a msg on my cell phone. I wish I had a BB gun. I'd shoot those damn things. Hopefully tonight will be much better!
