'twas
a fairly fun weekend with good food, good friends and alcohol in full flow, which is always a good combination.
Friday night: drinks at Que Pasa, dinner at an Okinawan restaurant at Tanglin Shopping Centre (my advice: try the pineapple beer, the noodles, the ox tongue and the miso stew), more drinks at Este (beng club that plays live Chinese music - definitely an experience) followed by more drinks and pool at Dbl O.
Saturday night: BBQ dinner at M&J's, followed by drinks at Suba. If you're looking for a place where you can lounge about and be heard without having to shout, Suba's probably it. The music was ok but the drinks could definitely be stronger. Many thanks to R for introducing a new game, no thanks to H for his very inventive forfeits. And that's all that will ever be said on that particular subject. Hah.
As for dinner, damn it was good. Cuban pork, grilled mushrooms, grilled beef, 3 fantastic desserts. Mmm-hmmm. Just thinking about the pork makes me hungry :)
The (main) downer of the weekend: what is up with this weather?!? It's been raining almost every weekend so all my games keep getting postponed. I've barely touched a softball this entire year. Sigh.
On another note, I've decided to start a new photo album here just so I can aggregate all the random clubbing photos. There's probably more floating around so maybe I'll get around to putting them up this weekend. Oh, and the food photos - I keep forgetting...
Have a great week, everyone!
