I was
all set to be a good girl last night and spend a few hours happily cataloguing and uploading my photos. Photos of recent trips, photos of S's wedding, photos of recent cooking escapades.
Then the gods of tech decided to throw a spanner into the works such that everytime I turned my scanner on, it either screwed up my USB ports or caused the whole computer to hang. The gods, they hate me. (And a sidenote: who's been f*cking up my scanner???)
So tonight, I'm going to try and not screw things up even further by reinstalling the driver. Hopefully it works. Stand by, my 2 resident techies (that means you, Mr Picky and you, Ms Busy); you'll be getting an SOS very shortly.
Posted by scrabbyfoo at June 27, 2006 06:09 PMjust take digi pics of the pics and upload them. i actually think it works better than a scanner.
Posted by: pblossom at June 27, 2006 09:22 PMNot if you want to catalog and archive them...you don't get the level of detail you would with a scanner.
Man, I don't even have time to moonlight as tech support anymore!!
Posted by: Ms Busy at June 28, 2006 10:12 AMYeah so, anyway reinstalling the drivers didn't work. And since I want to save my photos I'd much rather scan them than take digital photos of them.
Posted by: May at June 28, 2006 03:46 PMfor a while i thought you had written "throw a scanner in the works" and i was thinking, good pun!
how about getting a digital SLR? uploading will be a lot easier and quality isn't compromised that much.
