Snippets on a Friday Afternoon

It's a slow Friday afternoon and I'm just waiting for the clock to point to 6pm.

I took Thursday off, and spent most of it lazing around at home with the folks. Why is it that when I'm in the office it takes hours to get past the day, whereas when I'm at home it seems like the day starts at 4pm and just zips by?

Softball season will wind down on Sunday, weather permitting. Quite fittingly, we play our last game against our juniors and we're playing at our home ground of the Padang, instead of the sun-baked, ankle-breaking god-forsaken hellhole that is the Kallang field.

After softball ends, I will finally be out of excuses for not joining my sister/cousins for their Sunday morning biking/running. It's then that the world will know exactly how much of a lazy-ass I am. But come on, waking up before 7am on a Sunday to run could almost be the purest form of torture.

And finally: A couple of weeks ago, you asked me why I hadn't been calling. Quite simply, the answer is because I don't know if you'll pick up. Sometimes I wonder if I should try calling but so far I've managed to resist. Still, it would be good to hear from you, just to see how you've been getting on.

Have a good weekend, y'all.
