Assorted Ravings of the Slightly-Weird

For Goodness's Sake!

Ok dudes, I am slightly high from the vast amounts of sake I have consumed tonight. But hopefully not high enough that this entry doesn't make any sense...

I had a ton of fun tonight. It started out with a session at a car simulation place called the Sideways Driving Club. (BTW if I haven't already mentioned it I'm in HK this week.) We got to 'drive' Porsches on some Austrian race track for about an hour, and I won the 1st race and came in 2nd in the 2nd race. For my effort I came in 1st overall and am now the proud owner of a black cap that says "Sideways Driving Club" - I got to pick the colour since I was 1st.

After that we headed over to dinner at some Japanese restaurant which was fairly yummy. My favourite dish came right at the beginning and was some kind of tuna tartare dish with crunchy tempura bits inside. Yummalicious! After that, they kept plying us with sake, loads and loads of sake. And not just sake where you could sip at it in peace, but sake where you basically had to keep downing it in endless rounds of "bottoms up". And knowing me and the fact that I am super proud of the fact that despite my size I can pack it away like the rest of them, I just kept plugging away. At least now I have won the respect of the guys on the sell-side, or at least I think I have... (Interestingly, this has nothing to do with whether I'm a good analyst or not, haha.)

So now I'm kinda high and extremely mellow. Wheeee. It's a good thing I have a very late start tomorrow - basically I have one optional meeting at 3pm, and one compulsory one at 6pm. Hehe. Looks like I'm going to sleep in tomorrow! Woohoo.
