Assorted Ravings of the Slightly-Weird

It's been crazy busy for me because of the confluence of results season, conferences, business trips AND holidays. It's like the perfect storm. I'm up to my neck in work that should have been done weeks ago, and I've got to deal with idiots complaining about my lack of communication. (More on that topic later, if I get pissed off enough.) My table is the messiest I've seen it in a while, and that is saying a lot.

And when "crazy busy" coincides with "super sian" on the sian scale, it's not a good combination.

Which is why, it was good to take out some frustration during paintball last Sunday at the Discovery Centre. Nothing beats putting the gun on automatic and just letting the paint pellets fly. Hehehe. I've now got a nice bruise on my left arm as my war wound. However, having played at both the Discovery Centre and at Orchid Country Club, I definitely prefer the latter. There's more space to run around and the paint pellets are bigger so you can see trajectories and re-aim and the paint splatter's more visible. The guns at the Discovery Centre are more powerful but that's useless when the playing area is smaller and you have to keep backing off to get to the safety distance. Totally defeats the purpose.

Okie dokie. That was probably my break of the day. Back to "crazy busy" mode.
