Inadequacy
I read
this today and felt a sense of inadequacy.
I mean, this guy's not much older than I am and look at where he's at.
Let's compare:
At age 2, he learned to read. I can't even remember what happened to me at age 2.
At age 7, he attended high school math classes. I was busy pulling the chairs out from under my classmates.
At age 9, he attended college math classes. I was happily playing at recess with my classmates (not the ones that I pulled the chairs out from).
At age 20 he finished his Ph.D. I was hanging out at the Bear's Lair as a freshman.
Hmm.
Moving on, it's been blazing hot the whole weekend. The softball carnival got off to a great start - any time games don't need to be rescheduled, we consider that to be a great start. This weekend there'll be more games and finals will be on Sunday afternoons so pop by and watch if you have nothing else to do except clean the house or something.
And, I wonder why it rains only on the day I decide to go for training?
Hmm.
