So, I was
applying for a credit card online today. I decided that if I was going to keep shopping at a certain department store it only made sense to apply for their credit card and get points for my spending.
So there I was on the portal doing an online submission. It's so much easier when you don't need to print out supporting documents and mail them in, since almost everything is linked up now. I was happily filling in all the required fields and dreaming of the dress I was going to buy with the new card when I got to the personal details section and stopped short.
Not because I realised that I was finally, irrevocably a "30-something", but because under "year of birth" the drop down menu went all the way to 1888. EIGHTEEN EIGHTY EIGHT. Did the bank do that for fengshui reasons? Cos otherwise there is no other semi-logical explanation for it. There can't be that many 120 year-olds running around wanting to apply for credit cards online.
Hmmmm. Either that or plastic surgery in SG has really improved!
Darn it, it looks like it's about to pour. AGAIN. What is up with this weather? Everyday the skies turn grey and red and black and it just looks like the Apocalypse is upon us. Then the skies open up and just start dumping all this water on us earthlings. Grrr. Do the powers that be not know how unglam it is for me to be walking around with an umbrella all the freaking time??
:D

yeah i was just explaining to my boss today how standard sg's weather forecast is year-round, depending on whether it's monsoon or non-monsoon. and he googled "26 to 32 degrees" or some close variation of that, and singapore's 5 day weather forecast was the 4th link or sthing. hahaha
but yes i saw the T-storms throughout the week ... sorry :P
hey, at least u get good food year-round!
Are you ageist? I have nothing against 120-year-olds getting credit cards.
