I hadn't realised how much I'd missed this place until the plane got below the clouds and I saw the Bay Area below me. Familiar landmarks like the Bay Bridge, Treasure Island and even Berkeley in the distance were clearly visible. And the feeling only intensified as I got through immigration (with much more ease than usual!), got my bags (in a record 25 minutes after landing) and got onto the 101.
It's a typical Bay Area day, which for the month of May and even for the rest of the year means that there's sunshine, clear blue skies and the perfect temperature to walk around in a tank top in the day and a light sweater at night.
Oh why did I ever leave :)
There's baseball on TV, I've got wireless and a bag of chips. This is the life. Now, if only I didn't actually have to work on this trip... But at least I do get some time off. I'm looking forward to Thursday evening when the work stops and the fun begins. Bring on the outlet shopping, the amusement park and of course the trip to Pacbell Park.
WOOHOO!!!
