Unclean!! Unclean!!

Gawd. My cold sore is killing me... I feel like a leper prowling the streets of Singapore. Everywhere I go, people point at me and shout "Unclean! Unclean!" Mothers have to cover their children's eyes while whispering loudly, "Don't stare! It's very rude and who knows, you might catch something!"

Sigh...

Anyhow, last night in a stunning triumph for feminism I made one of my girl-Sims propose to a guy-Sim. It's not easy to propose to someone in the Sim-world, I have to say. First he'll complain that he's hungry, and then after you've fed him he'll say he's not having enough fun, or that you guys are not communicating enough... But when you finally get the Sim to agree to getting married, both will morph into wearing wedding clothes, and then the Sim who got proposed to will move in and take on the last name of the Sim who proposed.

So, meet Megan and Jorge Salamander (formerly Santili). She's a cat burglar and he's a runway model. They're currently enjoying their newlywed status and, thanks to Megan's stunning heist last night, their new-found riches. No plans for kids yet since they've only just gotten married. But, Megan doesn't get along with Maria Santili, Jorge's bossy older sister. So there's always some tension in the family...

Ok back to work :) I think I'm getting too caught up with my Sims! Not a good sign...

Back to My Blogging Ways

Ok folks. Rejoice! For I am back! Back to bring you 5 minutes of joy every day as you read about my inane adventures. Oh wait, that's my alternate life speaking in the parallel universe of vector 0,1,1.

No adventures whatsoever in this life.

Anyhow, I've just restarted the Sims. I got tired of bullying the various other civilisations and I kept achieving the Space Victory, which got to be a bit of a yawn so I decided to play something else for a change. So, back to the Sims and of course, our favourite sim-family, the Sim-Leongs.

Last time we visited, the Sim-Leongs had just had two babies in a matter of sim-days. Which reminds me, I'm supposed to put up photos of that. You'll be happy to learn that Picasso (the eldest girl) has an average of A+ and Nemo (the youngest boy) has an average of A-. I've been making them study at a furious pace, so much so that the computer keeps breaking down.

Both kids have their own rooms, and the parents now have an attached bathroom so there's no clog-up. I'm toying with the idea of redesigning the home into a 2-level rather than the current single storey. Because of the need to look after their kids, Sim-June and Sim-Kim have been neglecting their friends though, so that is something I need to work on. And thanks to that neither of them have been promoted.

Other news: I have a giant cold sore, thanks to the price of medication in HK being more than twice the price in SG, and also to my stinginess. A tube of cold sore cream costs S$6.45 and HKD65 (approximately S$15)!

Back to toiling...
Lesson of the day: Stay in school kids!

New Category!

Ok I've decided to add a new category since I've been writing about my Sims a lot. So next time avid followers of the Sim-Leongs can just click on the icon to follow the story of the S-Leongs. Maybe if I have enough time (and if I am really really bored) I will turn it into a story...

Anyhow, the S-Leongs are now the proud parents of Picasso and Nemo Leong! More details to follow...

Sims Update

Recently I've started playing The Sims! again. I had to stop after my computer went cranky due to some rogue hacker but I managed to save all my families and neighbourhoods so I'm happy to say that the Sim-Leongs are still around.

Sim-June is now a tabloid reporter earning $420 a day and Sim-Kim is a science teacher (hahaha) earning $350 a day. They see each other every evening after S-Kim gets home from work and before S-June goes to work, and they now have 3 friends.

Last night, the S-Leongs received a phone call from an adoption service, and they agreed to adopt a baby. Man, those sim-babies are irritating. They keep crying and once they start crying the whole household wakes up. And you have to keep them happy for 3 days before they grow up into kids. Otherwise the welfare service comes to take them away.

Sadly, the S-Leongs weren't able to keep their baby happy, so on the 3rd day (!!) after much sleep deprivation and some no-showing at work on the part of both S-Kim and S-June, the welfare service came by, chastised them soundly for neglecting their baby, and took their baby away. BTW the baby was named Nemo.

I'm going to try and get them another baby, and this time around I will take photos. In the meantime, the S-Leongs can continue to enjoy their nice big house with the flat-screen TV, new stereo system and a pool in the backyard.

UPDATE:
Photos are up! And S-Kim is now an inventor while S-June is a meteorologist...

The Sims!

Ok, I was bored plus I got really caught up in The Sims. So what I did was, I created 2 new characters based on my sister and her hubby :)

It was tough getting them to fall in love at first, and for some reason they kept fighting. Sim-June just refused to dance with Sim-Kim. Plus, they had really different working hours so they only saw each other for 1 hour a day. But finally, thanks to Sim-June getting promoted, their work hours got sorted out.

Anyway, here's a screenshot of the happy sim couple:

More photos here!

Check out the photos section - there's 2 photos of Sim-Kim fighting, which is really funny.

Hm... maybe now I'll make them adopt a kid? :D

P.S.: Kim! You got your flat-screen TV already! And the house is looking spiffy.
